Officers from the Darien Police Department responded to an Old Farm Road home shortly after 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, where there was a report of a robbery.
Police said that upon arrival, no suspect was at the home, but a door to the home had a broken window, which investigators stated was the point of entry into the residence.
According to police, the homeowner stated that a closet door was open that had been left closed, and all of his dresser drawers had been tossed, prompting him to call the police.
The homeowner told police that no one had been in the home since Sunday, Aug. 11, and that it was currently for sale. It was unclear what, if anything was missing from the property, police noted.
